Kane Parsons, known online as Kane Pixels, is an American filmmaker born in 2005. At sixteen he created The Backrooms (Found Footage) — a nine-minute analog horror short built in Blender and After Effects — and uploaded it to YouTube on 7 January 2022. The video amassed over 80 million views and became one of the most influential pieces of internet horror ever made. It led to a full web series and, ultimately, to Parsons becoming A24's youngest ever feature director, helming the 2026 theatrical release Backrooms.
